Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time
The book of Daniel is considered by many to be apocalyptic literature referring to end of the world matters. Apocalyptic literature in another sense can also mean an unveiling. Daniel, amidst other prophets, sought to unveil God’s plan through visions and revelations. Given how bizarre dreams can play out during the night time hours, Daniel rightly prophesies a human/divine being riding on the clouds of heaven to destroy the great kingdoms of the world.
